Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia surgery) Or Male Bust Reduction

 

                                 Male Breast Reduction (gynecomastia) surgery is a cosmetic surgery procedure for men who have large breasts. It is done on day care basis.

 

Males with gynecomastia suffer from embarrassment and low self esteem which can be improved with a simple surgery. Male Breast Reduction surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and the surgery takes 1-1½ hours. Overnight stay at the clinic is not required. Dissolvable stitches are used. Stay in the city is around 2-3 days.

 

Surgical Procedure:

Liposuction does well in small to medium gynecomastia  and involves minimal scar (Grade - I / II). 
Liposuction and Surgical excision is advised for men who have very large amounts of breast tissue. The procedure removes chest fat and glandular tissue from the breasts. In a few patients excess skin is also removed (Grade – III).
 
Large  Male Breast Reduction Post Operation Course:

The patient goes home on the same day and wears a compression bandage for the skin to settle down properly. He needs to wear this garment for 4-6 weeks for optimum results.
