Liposuction Surgery (Fat Removal) / Fat Reduction / Lipo for weight loss / Liposculpting:

Liposuction (fat removal), is a surgical procedure for women and men, which removes fat deposits from upper arms, hips, abdomen, back, thighs, buttocks etc. Liposuction is performed under general anaesthesia and it takes 1–2 hours. There is no need to stay in the clinic but 2-3 days stay in the city is required. Its by far the most common form of cosmetic surgery. Advanced form of liposuction is also called liposculpting, where precise body contouring is done.

 

The best patients for liposuction are those with normal body weight who are near their body weight but have fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. Age is normally not an inhibitory criteria.

 

Liposuction Surgery:

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure, which consists of suction of accumulated fat through thin cannulae, which are connected to a suction system. Only small incisions are necessary to introduce them. Using a long metal tube tumescent fluid is injected into your the fat layer. Afterwards the surgeon uses a liposuction cannula to remove fat cells. At the end of the cannula there will be a suction machine attached with a tube.

 

Post-operative Course after Liposuction (Fat removal)

You will wear a special compression garment. If you do not wear a properly fitted garment, you may have lumpy & bumpy, irregular surface. So you will have to wear this garment for 4–6 weeks after the surgery. 
Bruising or reddish blue discoloration of the area is common, but this will disappear over time. Results will be gradual. A significant improvement in the figure and body shape will be achieved only after a few weeks.
